Professional Liability
Eastman & Smith Ltd. has a broad professional and institutional liability practice. The Firm regularly defends malpractice injury and wrongful death actions brought against physicians, chiropractors, dentists, pharmacists, podiatrists and nurses. We also represent health care practitioners before their respective state boards in licensing and disciplinary matters.
In addition to representing individual practitioners, the Firm defends hospitals, nursing homes and other institutions from medical and general negligence claims. We also advise these institutions on a variety of risk management issues, ranging from liability to peer review to credentialing activities.
The Firm's professional liability practice is not limited to medical related professions. We also defend attorneys in legal malpractice claims, and have the capability to handle negligence claims against other professionals.
